Iman Sadeghi
  Welcome to Iman Sadeghi 's Academic Homepage!
 
 

I am a Software Engineer at Google Los Angeles. Previously, I have worked as an R&D rendering intern at Walt Disney Animation Studios (summer 2008 and 2009) and Industrial Light and Magic (summer 2010).

I have not updated this website much after my Ph.D. defence in June 2011. I defended my Ph.D. dissertation titled Controlling the Appearance of Specular Microstructures in Computer Science & Engineering Department of University of California, San Diego. I received  my M.Sc. degree from the same department in 2008. I got my B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering in 2006 from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran.

During my studies at UCSD, I worked in the Graphics Group with Prof. Henrik Wann Jensen. Previously, I have worked with Prof. Matthias Zwicker, and with Prof. Falko Kuester in the VisGroup and CISA3 at Calit2.

+ Our team won the Qualcomm Innovator Challenge Competition for implementing the best social networking widget! We implemented iQ widget in Plaza platform in 36 hours! January 2009.

+ I have been awarded Chancellors Interdisciplinary Collaboratories Fellowship for working with Center of Interdisciplinary Science for Art, Architecture and Archaeology (CISA3), CalIt2, UC San Diego and developing my visualization project: Virtual Palazzo Vecchio as part of Search for Battle of Anghiari project. January 2008.
