CSE 168 - Spring 2007 Final Project
Bowling Pins I
By Benjamin Richter
Abstract
This project attempts to capture a ball's eye view of the bowling lane.
The effects are captured with camera movement as well as area lighting.
Design
Bringing my idea from paper to pixels, slowly modelling my low level
version of a bowling lane.
Area Lighting
Bringing light in from a wide area and far away lit up the whole scene
from several different angles.
Unfortunately this shot shadow holes into the image when lights went through the back of objects
to get to the hitpoint.
Motion Blur / Depth of Field
I think i may moved the camera too to get a feel for scene. Combining
camera shifts moving toward and away
from the pins to
simulate motion,as well as off centering samples parallel to the viewing plane to
give a depth of field. The end result is heavy pixel scatter when
heading toward the corners of the image.
